The Georgia General Assembly is debating a bill that would help create jobs by lowering income taxes and providing a sales tax exemption for businesses like manufacturing and communications. Part of the effort to lower taxes is paid for by adopting a new uniform state tax on communications services such as video and telephone service. This communications tax would replace the current system where some services are taxed and others, like satellite DBS service, are not. Please e-mail you state senator and representative and let them know you support growing jobs in Georgia by modernizing the tax code and encouraging small business and manufacturers to start hiring again!
