Recently the Harvard Stem Cell Institute announced that it had developed the ability to reprogram adult cells in a way that holds tremendous promise for the cure of several chronic illnesses. It’s just the latest proof that there is no need for the government to wastefully allocate research funds into tests which require the destruction of human embryos.
If there is no need to destroy human life in the name of science, we shouldn’t – it’s as simple as that. Research funds should instead be directed into productive and ethical endeavors that do not make a mockery of the sanctity of human life.
As a member of the Center for Moral Clarity, a national Christian grassroots organization, I urge you to support efforts to fund only ethical forms of research while you are serving in Congress.
Thank you for considering my opinion.
