As a member of the Center for Moral Clarity, an Ohio-based Christian grassroots organization, I have been following the progress of a proposed statewide ballot issue that, if approved, would bring a casino to Clinton County, with tax revenue to be distributed among all 88 Ohio counties. It would be known as State Issue 6 if it qualifies for the ballot, as expected.
As an opponent of gambling, I will be voting against this issue. Gambling bankrupts individual lives and damages families, and the state should not authorize its expanded availability.
Since you are running to represent my district in the Ohio General Assembly, I would like to know where you stand on this important issue. Do you support Issue Six, or oppose it? I look forward to hearing from you, and I encourage you to make your position publicly known during this fall's campaign.
Thank you for considering my opinion.
