I greatly appreciate your commitment to reform primary and secondary education in Ohio, and to change the way schools are funded. It has been an issue in this state for decades, and you are to be commended for your public response to solving it.
I am hopeful that any reform plan you present to the General Assembly and the citizens of Ohio provides expanded opportunities for parents to use the money they pay to the state to support failing public schools and send their children to more-successful non-public schools. Programs such as EdChoice offer opportunities to children to escape a failed system, and they should be expanded to allow more children to experience educational excellence.
As a member of the Center for Moral Clarity, an Ohio-based Christian grassroots organization, I will be eagerly awaiting your response to the need for educational reform.
Thank you for considering my opinion.
