I have recently learned about the Employment Non Discrimination Act, which is in consideration in the House of Representatives. I am writing to ask you to vote against the bill should it come to the House floor.
In today's competitive business environment, government regulation should be held to a minimum. New federal intervention into hiring, firing, promotion and compensation decisions to accommodate a person's professed sexual orientation is simply unwarranted. As a member of the Center for Moral Clarity, I would urge you to reject the bill because it would put an undue burden on business owners and create a protected class of Americans in a nation that has consistently upheld the principle of equality under the law.
Thank you for considering my opinion.
